Star Wars Games Day!

Post by Renny on 26th October 2012, 22:27

As my lovely wife and daughter are heading to Manchester on December 8th for the weekend, i'd like to organise some gaming at mine. I'm thinking of doing something rpg-like on the Saturday night (possibly a session of Necessary Evil) and maybe some ACTA in the afternoon. Might even squeeze in some board games. Anybody interested in such a thing?

Cool. After some discussions today, this may turn into a Star Wars themed day.

So thinking at the mo is for Mike to run some X-Wing in the afternoon then to play Star Wars D6 in the evening. Assuming I resist buying Edge Of The Empire until then, of.course.

Sounds interesting. I may wait until Dragonmeet to pick it up. See how cash goes in the meantime.

Ok, so i've renamed the thread in honour of today's announcement that Disney have bought Lucasfilm and there will be new Star Wars films commencing in 2015. I look forward to queuing up with my then 13 year old daughter to go and see Episode VII. I'm obviously strong with the Force as I predicted this event by planning to play only Star Wars related games on December 8th Very Happy

The surprising announcement that Disney has bought Lucasfilm and that Star Wars Episode VII will be heading our way is really exciting. With George Lucas now relegated from the scripting process I'm hopeful for something more engaging then the prequels. The Force is certainly strong now and I can't wait to be able to queue up and see them on the big screen again.

So Chris, are you likely to be around for Star Wars Game Day on 8th December? If you've got Becky with you that day, i'm more than happy for you to both join in the Star Wars RPG session in the evening Very Happy

While rummaging around in the loft, I found some old D6 Star Wars character sheets. I'll post them up over the weekend. One of which in particular is worth looking out for.

My intention for the D6 game on the day, is to simply get players to grab a character template and go. If you spot one of your old characters from those i'm going to post that you'd like to use instead, let me know.
