Just wanted to say welcome back
You won't believe all the gaming you've missed. Chris has run a successful Dr Who game and i've run a very satisfying Star Wars game while writing three more Justice Associates adventures. Mike has returned to gaming with a blast, treating us to his long awaited giant robot game and Russ has gone all old school with a taster of Swords and Wizardry.
Or perhaps I dreamed that last bit. Anyway, welcome back.

Can't say as I recall any of the above, but speaking for myself I managed to get in games of; Smallworld, Ave Caesar, Cosmic Encounter, Warmachine, AD&D, WH40K, Carcassonne and Jamaica.

Re: Following Carter
Sounds like you had fun.
I will be able to roll dice as of next week. any ideas what is on the table ?
Whilst sunning myself in +40 heat, i have been thinking about 3 adventures but not ready to run them yet.
1, a Modern day pulppy adventure spanning at least 3 continents chasing a vast treasure, i may call this one "Ark"
2, an Ultra-Modern assult on a US base, you are Russian Special forces Spetnaz. chasing a prize that will give you supremacy over China, (this may yet evolve into a 1/72 Showdown game)
3, a Sleeper Cell of Irish Nationlist who are recalled for a very, very special mission. to bring home the Stone of destiny

I really like the concept of a pulpy adventure spanning several continents whilst chasing after a vast treasure. Could this be the fabled 'Ark of the Covenant' that you are hinting at??

Re: Following Carter
Let me rephrase that
The adventure maybe called "A.R.C" or just "ARK" and it may or may not refrer to the "Ark" or it may refer to another treasure i discovered with a simular name but more powerful. (thank you Eric....)

What character types/concepts are you looking for? And what system are you using?

Re: Following Carter
for ARC i was thinking Clive Cussler types or National Treasure maybe Dan Brown characters.
more Indian jones than Tom Clancy. anyone from a action adventure movie.
does that help
Savage worlds would be nice a simple system to hang it on.
