Iron Man 2
All I will say is you are in for a treat. This film rocks hard. And be sure to stay after the credits.

Re: Iron Man 2
well i went to see it today with hayden and laura ...
Not being a great fan of the first movie having prefered "HULK" , i went to see it hoping for a improvment over the shortcommings i felt the first one had .
Have to say whilst no one can say the action sequences are top notch i still felt that the film had a distinct feeling of a character building movie much the same as the first (which is a shame from my perspective)!!! contreversial i know.
Scores :
Ben 7/10
Hayden 9/10 (he really liked it especially whiplash)
laura 8/10

Your points are fair, although I didn't feel the character building detracted from the film. I really enjoy seeing Robert Downey Jr play this role and I loved the stuff about his father's past and how was not all as it seemed. Iron Man has always been a flawed charcter in the comics. He's not Bruce Wayne, i.e. an invention of his crime fighting alter ego, he really is a genius playboy who circumstances have forced into the suit. I liked the stuff with the senate and enjoyed the bits with Nick Fury and the layering in of more teases for the Avengers. And i loved the action stuff at the end. So all in all, I left the cinema eager for more.

Re: Iron Man 2
Just got back from seeing Iron Man 2 and have to admit to being pleasently surprised. The trailer for the movie had left me feeling somewhat underwhelmed with the nagging fear that this sequel would end-up as a noisy, mindless mess like Transformers 2. Thankfully, these fears proved unfounded as the film took the time to try and work in some character growth for Tony Stark and the end of movie smack-down was thrilling and put a lot of other superhero movies to shame. I much prefer to see costumed-heroes who are bad-ass and flawed characters like Batman, Rorschach, and Hellboy - rather then do-gooders like the Fantastic Four and Spider-Man - and so I suppose Iron Man is much more my cup of tea and I wouldnt say no to a third installment. With all the teasers pointing towards an Avengers movie, I left the cinema feeling impatient to see Thor and Captain America. Any ideas when either of these movies are due out?

Thor is due for release next summer. Captain America and Avengers the year after?
