Song of Blades and Heroes

I really like these rules and I'm working towards giving them a try. Anyone read them, interested in using them?

I'll happily give it a go if you want to set something up. Where are the rules available and what's required in terms of setup (miniatures etc)?

The rules are pdf only from the usual sources. If you're interested I will lend you my copy next time I see you. They are only about 30 pages long and not at all complex. I am currently putting together a kobold warband. Only one completed so far (and here he is):

There is no real min/max number for figures, it depends on what you want to build. A warband is made up of 300 points worth of figures - how you spend those points is up to you. For instance a basic dwarf warrior is about 30 points; an elite dwarf warrior is around 40-50 points; a goblin warrior is about 15; a halfling about 10 and a vampire may cost 100+ points.

The nice thing is that you can create your own creatures, so if you want to have a five man team of elite halfling ninjas costing 60 points each you can. There is a piece of online software for creating your own creatures, characters and monsters here.

You can use any figures you like, including cardboard (the OneMonk range of figures seem made for the job). In fact I'm thinking of building some cardboard scenary for use with the game.

How dare you sir! As you know I am a big fan of 1/72 figs, but there just isn't the range of figures available for in that scale. However speaking of that, I have got a copy of the Rules With No Name (cowboy shootouts). Do you still have your White Wash city buildings and 1/72 cowboys? We could give these rules a spin.

Hey, I managed to pick up the rules. Will hopefully have a read over the weekend.

I've just bought their new rules Flying Lead which covers; pulp, WWII, modern, near future type games.

I quite fancy trying this in 1/72...
