The Justice Associates and The Curse Of The Black Diamond
As promised, I am prepping a JA game to take place this October/November. The game will be set during 1939, approximately two years after the events of the last official JA adventure, "Curse Of The Yellow Peril". As a result of the two year time jump, it would seem reasonable to allow new characters to join the fun. So those of you feeling unexcited at the prospect of returning to those characters again, now's your chance. At the moment, I can tell you that the action will cover New York and darkest Peru. Let me know if you're interested in playing (figure I need three players at least to make it worth pursuing).

I intereasted in playing,
And though i suspect some of the old faces will remain the same i fancey giveing Mr Tanner a rest for this one.(after all i was thinking about killing him off at the end of the last adventure).Maybe he could be over in spain useing his fists to rearrange the facieal fetures of Hitlers finest.
Will have to give some thought to what i want to play as nothing grabs me at the moment.

Well, a few suggestions; Intrepid Reporter, Big Game Hunter, Intrepid Archaeologist, Soldier Of Fortune...there's a few off the top of my head.

So would you like to think about a character? I'm happy for you to play Annhauser but you can come up with your own if you would like.

Session 1 -
Early 1939, New York City. Having gone undercover and taking down the mob boss responsible for the death of his mentor, Brock Tanner is now living in New York in the palatial home of George Holmes. Holmes receives a late night phone call from Pamela Cooper, the grandaughter of Professor Davis Cooper, owner of the Black Diamond from the Associates' first caper. Pamela speaks in hushed tones and tells Holmes that strange men had forced their way into her grandfather's house. Cooper had stubbornly refused to cooperate with the men until Pamela was let free. Taken outside by one of the goons, Pamela had struck her assailant and made a break for freedom, fearful she was about to be silenced...permanently. Reaching a late night diner some blocks from her home, Holmes had been the first she had thought to call. Holmes and Tanner sprang into action and soon reached the late night eaterie. Tanner took up a discrete seat at the bar while Holmes met the distressed young woman. Mere moments later, three plainly dressed men entered the diner, recognised by Pamela as some of the men who had her grandfather in thrall. Two of the men brashly approached Holmes and the girl. Holmes sprang into action dousing one with hot coffee while Tanner grappled the second man. Within seconds, the two assailants were lain out on the floor. The third man approached with a weapon out but a handy pie dish and the unerring eye of George Holmes disarmed the man in a flash and he fled the diner swiftly. Holmes and Tanner searched the two men left insensible on the floor but found no ID, not even a clothing label. They raced, along with Pamela, to the Cooper residence, dreading what they might find.
The house was lit but quiet. A stealthy approach revealed no signs of life within, and it was apparent that the intruders had left, with Cooper in tow. A search of Cooper's study revealed signs that the men had removed the Black Diamond and had apparently questioned Cooper in regard to South America, judging by the torn charts strewn around the room. In particular, the region of that great continent in which lies hidden the larger Black Diamond, of which Cooper's piece was but a small fragment. Pamela drew a fearful picture of what might happen should the larger gem fall into the hands of those with conquest in mind. Suitably resolved, the Associates set off in pursuit with Pamela in company, stopping only to make a few arrangements and a telephone call...

Sitting across the table of the diner, Holmes leaned forward, his eyes fixed upon Pamela with a re-assuring stare;
“Mmm, you know this really is a damn fine cup of coffee!...And Hot!!......Here – TRY SOME!” - With an unexpected flash, Holmes spun round dowsing the approaching assailant with the scolding brew!
As the would-be attacker staggered back in shock Holmes nimbly leapt to his feet, picking-up a nearby dish of food.
“Well if the coffee isn’t to your taste – you really must try the pie!”
Before the goon could object, Holmes launched the cherry-pie into the man’s face, his fist simultaneously punching through the soft pastry and connecting with the man’s jaw, sending him sprawling onto a heap atop a nearby table!
Glancing down disapprovingly at his fallen foe, he quietly tutted under his breath; ”Now look at the mess you’ve made, and such a waste of a good cherry pie too!”

Thanks to Mike and Chris for showing up last night for the latest chapter of the Justice Associates. Hopefully fun and memorable quotes had by all;
"I say Pamela, i've got a sinking feeling..." - George Holmes.
